Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
When a name or case number is entered into a search tool on this site, the query is sent to the third-party provider operating that tool. The provider processes the request and returns its results. DeKalb County Court Docket does not retain or log those submitted search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you email us, we retain the message to respond to it. The message remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, our servers receive routine technical information about the visit, including:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They help show how visitors use the site, such as which pages receive traffic and where visits end. Analytics services aggregate that traffic information. Browser settings can block cookies, although some site functions may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
Collected information supports the site’s operation and helps route a search query to the appropriate partner service. It may also be used to assess page usefulness, diagnose technical problems, improve loading and performance, and show advertising that may be relevant to a visitor’s interests.
- Operating, maintaining, and improving the site
- Routing submitted search queries to the appropriate partner service
- Measuring page use and resolving technical problems
- Supporting site performance and load reliability
- Displaying advertising that may relate to visitor interests
No Court-Record Data on File
This site does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of DeKalb County court dockets or personal case-record information. It provides general information about records held by the DeKalb County Circuit Clerk, the DeKalb County Circuit Court, and Missouri Case.net. Court-record access is separately governed by Missouri Court Operating Rule 4 and applicable confidentiality rules. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or records about third parties.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes on this site. Information entered there is handled under the provider’s own privacy policy, not this policy. Those providers determine their data-retention and sharing practices, which this site does not control. Review the applicable provider policy before submitting a query.
Links to Other Websites
This site links to outside resources, including the DeKalb County Circuit Clerk, Missouri Case.net, other court resources, and third-party tools. Selecting a link leaves this site, and the destination’s privacy policy governs the visit. Review it before providing personal information.
Some advertising partners may monitor activity across websites to deliver targeted advertising. That monitoring occurs within their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Information may be shared with the following categories of recipients:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
We use reasonable security practices intended to protect the information we collect. No internet-connected system is completely secure, so a breach cannot be ruled out.
Users Under 18
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has provided information to us, contact us and we will remove it promptly.
Your Data Rights
This policy does not limit rights that may apply under law. Official Missouri court-record access is separate from this private site: Court Operating Rule 4 governs court-record keeping and access, while the Missouri Sunshine Law provisions at RSMo §610.023 and RSMo §610.026 address public-record requests, response timing, and copy charges for the appropriate public custodian. For data held by this site, you may:
- Ask for a copy of personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Ask us to delete information we retain about you
- Opt out of certain processing where that option applies
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this policy. A revised version will be posted here with an updated effective date. Review this page periodically to stay informed about our information practices.
Effective date: August 29, 2026
